ALL CLASSES ARE HELD OFF SITE at various locations in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area. Most classes will be held OUTDOORS in parks, fields, parking lots, etc. It is rare that we are lucky enough to find an indoor search area.Weather: PLEASE NOTE that unless the weather poses a threat to our safety, class will meet regardless of weather conditions. Please dress accordingly. (If there is severe weather or lightning, class will be cancelled.)
The goal of this class is to hone your handling skills, to expand your dog’s ability to search new and different areas, and to increase confidence in both members of the team.
This is an ongoing class. Once you sign up, we will hold your place until you tell us you would like to stop. Please let us know 4 weeks before the end of your payment cycle if you need to drop out.
Prerequisite – Nose Work 102 or permission from the instructor.

Bring out your puppies for Kinder Class!

 

In this four-week session pups will be introduced to show stacking on the table and on the ground. We will work on correct movement and patterns in preparation for the show ring. At the end of class there will be a brief, supervised,  puppy socialization session (10-15 minutes).

 

Open to puppies aged 8 weeks to 1 year.  The cost of this class is $100 for 4 consecutive classes, once a week, and must be prepaid. Each class is 55 minutes.

XDog agility is "for fun" agility where your dog can learn agility basics, build confidence and have fun. No obedience or agility skills required to join. We will teach you everything you need to know.

Precision Learning Applications

This class is a continuation of the Precision Learning 1 course. It will focus on increasing the precision in the foundation skills commonly used in competition obedience, rally, and freestyle using platforms, gates, or other targets.

 

Learn how to use various training aids to efficiently and quickly teach heel-work, stays, recalls, positions in motion, go outs, and jumps.

In this class we progressively teach your dog how to watch for your cues as your lead your dog to the right.... to the left.... and beyond.... as they run through jumps, tunnels & hoops!
Great beginners class for learning how to work your dog off leash and around distractions.
This is a beginner's class - you can take this class if you have not done XDog Level 1. No obedience skills required to join. We'll teach you everything you need to know.
Most all dogs will stay on leash or line unless you feel comfortable to take them off. A lot of dog owners who didn't think they could get their dog off leash - do in this class!
Any dog or puppy over 6 months can join, any size and any breed. Everyone is welcome.

You and your dog will work on attention, settling (on a mat or in a crate), sit and down, polite walking, come, wait and stay, and leave it. You’ll see great progress from this class using positive, reward-based training techniques that get results!

You mostly know the Rally Novice signs, but you and your dog need practice to develop a smooth performance and confidence on a Rally course. If that’s you, then Rally Novice Polish will help you develop the experience you need to become proficient for competition Rally.

 

Each week we’ll review a challenging exercise or two, work a little on skill development to help with things like sitting straight in heel and front positions and discuss course handling. And of course, we’ll work courses!

 

At least one course per week will be set from AKC, Cynosport and/or ASCA rules.

Requirements:

• Open to dogs 26 weeks and older
• Completed Rally Novice or equivalent - dogs must already be proficient at sit, down, stay and recall; handlers must have basic understanding of Novice signs
• Dogs must have basic obedience skills including heeling with change of pace, fronts and finishes

Circus Dog Blue (formerly Circus Dog 2)

This is a fun tricks class perfect for that pooch who dreams of being a star. Learn behaviors like rolling a ball, rolling out a carpet, jumps, wave, bow, and more. This class will prepare those interested in obtaining their Novice Trick Dog titles through "Do More With Your Dog".

 

Handlers and dogs will learn tricks such as roll over, pray, crawl, beg, be shy, double hoop jump, and shell game.

 

At the end of the course, your dog can perform what he’s learned to satisfy the requirements witnessed for a Novice Trick Dog title through “Do More With Your Dog” (title fee is $20 upon submission of paperwork to Do More With Your Dog).

 

No prior training experience is necessary. This class is not appropriate for reactive or aggressive dogs.
