Park Cities Pet Sitter is hosting a 2-hour seminar on “Understanding Dog Aggression” on Saturday, April 11th from 3pm-5pm at the Reverchon Park Recreation Center at 3505 Maple Avenue in Dallas. The featured speaker for the event is dog behavior specialist Scott Sheaffer, a certified dog behavior consultant (CDBC) and certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA) who has worked extensively with owners of dogs exhibiting symptoms of aggressive behavior.
The seminar is open to the general public to attend. Cost is $10 per person for those that pre-register on Park Cities Pet Sitter’s website at http://www.pcpsi.com before April 10th. Cost is $15 for those that sign up to attend the day of the seminar.
Mr. Sheaffer will cover how to read dog body language so that attendees can adequately assess a situation with a new or unfamiliar dog, and keep them safe. He will also discuss best practices to use when encountering a potentially aggressive dog; while alone, or while other pets are present. Lastly, he we will provide tips that you can use to be the best dog handler that you can possibly be, so that you can be a pack leader in any situation that you may find yourself.
