From the “We Care About Dallas Animal Services” Facebook page:You called, emailed, tweeted and Facebook messaged City Councilmembers and the Mayor. You helped spread the word to your family and friends. You signed and shared the petition. You helped get a bigger budget for DAS. You showed what a difference we can make together.
Let’s celebrate together at the place where it all began, Lee Harvey’s!
* Kissing booth ($1 per kiss). Get a smooch from man’s best friend.
* Dunking for hot dogs ($1 per dunk). Let your dog give it a try!
All cash raised will go to DCAP’s DAS Fund and earmarked for heartworm treatments.
At the first rally, attendees donated enough canned food to fill a
car. Guess what? It’s gone and they could use more until the new budget
goes into effect. DAS is also in need of clean used towels and shoe
boxes.
We’re excited that Mark Stokes will be on hand to draw caricatures of your pet, you or you and your pet. If you can’t bring your pet, bring a good photo and Mark can create your drawing. Black & white drawings; $10 for a single pet. $15 for two pets, $20 for pet and person. Anything over that is negotiable
